For my table, I will have a white table cloth with my brochures spread out on one side. I will have my poster attached to the front or put on display behind me. I will have a laptop to show my website and for my own personal use of a slideshow. I want to have something to give to the judges but I haven't thought of it yet.

For today I turned in my unfinished website and brochure to filezilla. They are mostly done, but I still have to apply the finishing touches. I have to complete my bibliography and link it to my website. I have to finish my information pages on my brochure, and make sure everything is perfect, and my poster is officially done.

These two slides are going to be on my capstone website. Yes they do go with the website because they have to do with both wedding planning and wedding planners. they go with each other because they have the same theme and the message is very clear to the audience. And they totally match my topic.

3/1/13 PSA

            The divorce rate in America today is 50%. Couples start asking for divorce based on problems that come up during their marriage. These problems were not planned to be discussed before the marriage took place, so the marriage ends up resulting in a divorce which harms everyone that is close to the couple. Divorce brings out the worst in everyone. It affects the husband, the wife, the kids, and the extended family. The kids may not want the divorce to take place which would result in them acting more different than usual. The extended families could love each other and it would cause difficulties to stay in touch during this process. The separation could also cause psychological problems for the husband, wife, and any possible children they share. There are a plethora of reasons why a relationship may fail; however, it does not necessarily have to do with the wife or the husband.

            For this unbelievably high divorce rate a solution needs to be proposed in hope that more marriages will stay intact and there will be happiness, comfort, stability, and most importantly, love that would last a lifetime. One solution that would help lower the divorce rate among couples is premarital counseling. Premarital counseling has shown that it helps couples deal with problems that would most likely come up during the marriage, and it has shown that it gives them an understanding on how to deal with each other. There has been research done on the results of premarital counseling and how it benefits the couple. If more couples gave premarital counseling a chance, the divorce rate would not be as high and more couples would be happy with their marriage.

For my capstone project, I will be designing a website that would look like the official business website. The purpose would be to show how the premarital classes would be advertised and how signup would be administered. The targeted audience would be the couples planning on getting married soon. The buttons would be on the left and the underlined text would be on the bottom. The buttons would be read from top to bottom on the left so it would look like a block. The colors would be of a neutral kind like black, beige, and white, but that is still being decided so I am not so sure on the colors of the website. I will be using div tags, css rules, line breaks, ordered lists, etc.The types of pages would be the home page, the pages concerning the wedding planner and the provided services, and then a page or two to do with the premarital classes offered and about them like times and locations and how to sign up.

For my capstone project poster, I am trying to find images that fit in with wedding planners and with family counseling premarital classes. I want it to be bright and colorful but at the same time, I want it to be serious and informative.

Monday 2/4

Today in class, I finished up my practice poster that has to do with BPA in baby bottles. I chose the image of the expecting woman because it shows the love mothers have for their babies and that they would not want to harm them in any way. I chose the colors because it is very subtle. I chose the color of the text and the font because it is urgent and important. Together the image looked subtle yet urgent which catches people's attention.

Today in class, I had to go to prayer and it took up most of the class period, so I didnt get to finish my poster. Hopefully I will get to finish it today in class.

In class on wednesday, we started our practice poster assignment. I got started on it but didnt finish and I have to finish it next class period.

Today, we talked about our capstone projects and went through the syllabus. We looked at an example of Hormonal disruptors. and we looked at an example of a project poster that we have to work on next class period.

P90x Marketing

P90x is a program that is supposed to get you in the best body shape ever after only 90 days. The program includes 12 intense workouts that use resistance and body/weight training, cardio, plyometrics, ab work, martial arts, and yoga. It also includes a nutrition plan, fitness guide, and workout calendar. 

This 90 day program is for both men and women. People become interested in this program because it makes them believe that in 90 days you would be in the best shape ever. The commercials used with people's real life stories, and the program itself get people motivated to lose weight and get in shape. Basically the target audience is for the people that want/need to get in shape. 

If someone isn't happy with the results and they thought it would be something different then shown, they get their money back 90 days within purchase. the program itself is 90 days so they made their money back guarantee deadline 90 days after purchase. There are also three kit levels to buy from. The basic one, the better one, and the best one. Each one is more expensive, but with each one, the results get better and better. There is also a 3-day nutrition plan that is supposed to help with all the working out. 

The program itself will deliver the product. The costumer can find out about this program basically anywhere. It is online, there is a phone number, email, twitter account, facebook account, and youtube channel. The before and after pictures are very important because when people first learn of the program, they want proof that it actually works and they aren't wasting their money on something that doesn't work. 

The leader is Tony Horton. He spent over 20 years developing his expertise in the fitness world. his knowledge and experience led to him creating the number 1 best-selling home fitness program in America. This program really targets the muscle areas and it makes you go deep into the workout that you feel it within  the day. More people should learn about this. People that have succeeded in this program should talk about it online and convince people to buy the program and test it out. To make more profit, extra nutrition products should be added. It would higher the value and the profits. 

You might be wondering why P90x and not Insanity? P90x seems like a more researched and approved workout than Insanity. There is also the 10 minute body workout by Tony Horton also, but it seems like a mini version of this. 

My Rejected Capstone Idea

My major is Business Management and my career is Wedding Planning, so I wanted to create a way for the less fortunate to have their dream wedding. It was one issue I can think of in the wedding world. The teachers did not like it so they rejected it. Now I have to re-think and come up with a totally new idea before April. I am thinking to focus only on the Business part of it and not on the wedding part because then it would be easier to find an issue within small businesses.

What's Wrong With Capstone?

Capstone is the most dreaded class by all the seniors in the RCHS program. It is useless and irritating. The most awful thing about it is the capstone project. The teachers make us spend so much of our time on this project that we would not really even think about later on in our lives. Capstone class is really nothing to the senior students. They expect us to use that time for our projects, but all students do is talk and roam the internet. Without the actual Capstone class, the lives of us seniors would be so much easier and we would not have to worry about this thing practically killing us at the end. Then there's the actual presentation. ): Some people have problems speaking or presenting in public, and I know that speaking publicly is a requirement in the real world, but this project makes us dread our whole senior year.
